reg Walcher is one of the country’s most recognized and respected leaders in natural resources policy. 

Greg Walcher is one of the country’s most recognized and respected leaders in natural resources policy.  He is the author of Smoking Them Out: the Theft of the Environment, and How to Take it Back, now in its second printing, writes a weekly newspaper column on natural resources issues, and publishes a blog called “Resources and Reality” with several thousand subscribers nationwide.

He is President of the Natural Resources Group, a consulting firm specializing in energy, water, public lands, mining, forestry, and wildlife.  He serves on the board of the Energy and Environment Legal Institute, the Policy Advisory Board of the Heartland Institute, and is a Centennial Institute Fellow at Colorado Christian University.

Walcher spent a decade on Capitol Hill, served in the Governor’s Cabinet as secretary of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, and was president of the national organization of natural resources cabinet secretaries.
